Oldfield Animal Teaching Facility - Construction Watch
Submitted by admin on Wed, 03/07/2012 - 23:33
As we begin June, 2012, the Oldfield Animal Teaching Facility is rapidly taking shape. Roofing is ~90% complete, block has been installed around the building, and nearly all windows and doors have been installed. Inside the building, changes are even more pronounced. Crews have nearly completed insulating, installing sheet rock, and taping the sheet rock. Painting of the interior will begin soon. During the first week of June, work on the steel siding will begin, and internal ceilings in classrooms and laboratories will also appear. The photo shown top right is of the rounded structure inside the entry way on which the name, “James E. Oldfield Animal Teaching Facility” will be displayed. A master schedule showing dates for the various components of the building is posted in the staff lounge. A photo album of construction progress can be found on the front counter in Withycombe 112.
