Dr. Scott Campbell is an OSU alumnus. He earned his B.S. degree in animal science in 1980 and his D.V.M. in 1985, both from OSU. Dr. Campbell was born and raised on a cattle ranch in Burns, Oregon. He started his first practice at Banfield Hospital in Portland. Today, he is chairman and CEO of Banfield Pet Hospital. He has built Banfield Pet Hospital into the largest private veterinary practice in the world, providing quality medical services to over one million pets annually. Banfield opened its first international hospital in Manchester, England, this year, and it plans to open a hospital in Leeds. Dr. Campbell recently finalized plans to build a small animal teaching hospital at the Universidad Nacional Autonome de Mexico (UNAM). He was honored as an OSU Alumni Fellow in 2000 and is a former OSU Alumni Association board member.
