National FFA College Scholarship Program -
Accelerated Genetics
Three $500 scholarships are
available to FFA members studying animal science or dairy
science at a four-year university or a two-year technical
program.
- Selection will be based on FFA
involvement, high school activities, university campus activities,
community involvement, and academics.
- Students must be completing their
freshman, sophomore, or junior year in the animal science or dairy
science program when filing their application. The applicant or
the applicant's parents must be customers of Accelerated Genetics
or purchasing Accelerated Genetics semen from an authorized
representative.
- The recipient of this scholarship
is determined by the Scholarship Committee based on detailed
qualifications as listed in the agreement between the sponsors and
the National FFA Organization. The scholarship is in the form of a
cash award (check) issued to the recipient. After the scholarship
recipient is selected, he/she will be asked to provide a copy of
his/her class schedule. This documents that the recipient is
enrolled and is pursuing an education. Upon receipt of the class
schedule, a check for the amount of the scholarship for that
school year will be forwarded to the student.
- The scholarship is paid to the
recipient with the understanding that the money will be used to
meet educational expenses incurred while enrolled in a college
degree program.
