The Canada America Society of Washington will award five (5) $3,000 scholarships for the 2005-2006 academic year to undergraduate students from Alaska, Washington, Idaho or Oregon who choose a Canadian university for their study-abroad experience.

Thinking about doing an internship? .... But the pay is non-existent! Through the generosity of the E.R. Jackman Board, we are able to provide this excellent opportunity for students who are participating in a low-paying or volunteer internship. The Internship Support Program allows students to apply for financial assistance to help off-set expenses that will incur during your time spent on an internship. The application has all of the details and be downloaded here. The Institute of International Education (IIE) is currently accepting applications for the Spring 2005 cycle of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by IIE through its Southern Regional Center in Houston, Texas, this program enables students who have limited financial means the opportunity to participate in undergraduate study abroad opportunities worldwide. The program provides awards of up to $5,000 for U.S. citizen undergraduate students at two- and four-year institutions to pursue country-based study abroad programs of up to one academic year. Community College students - both two-year and transfer - are particularly encouraged to apply.To be eligible students must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application and cannot be studying abroad in a country currently under a US Department of State Travel Warning or in Cuba. This cycle of the Gilman International Scholarship is for study abroad programs that start between January 1 and April 15, 2005 and would include short-term and winter intersession programs that begin within the eligible start dates. Multi-country programs or tours are not eligible for the Gilman International Scholarship.
