International PreVet Internships Available Through OSU Global Internships

NAMIBIA

Cheetah Conservation Fund Research and Conservation Site: Work to preserve the habitat and future of the cheetah in the Kalahari bush. Interns will participate in a variety of tasks and operations of the program based on interest and needs.

Language requirement: English.

COOK ISLANDS

The Esther Honey Foundation (EHF): The purpose of EHF is to improve the health conditions of domestic animals in the Cook Islands (South Pacific) by providing, on a continuing basis, a veterinarian and technicians for the Islands. EHF Animal Clinic offers affordable spay/neuter services, full service veterinary care and a comprehensive humane education program. Foundation programs include:

  • Establishing and equipping a non-profit veterinary clinic
  • Providing spay/neuter and immunization services
  • Introducing a comprehensive animal health education program.

    Language requirement: English

    HONDURAS

    Pan American Agricultural School in El Zamorano: Work with the chief veterinarian to treat farm animals and hold clinics for livestock in surrounding communities.

    Language requirement: advanced Spanish conversation ability
